Directors

Directors

The Board of Directors has responsibility for the overall management and strategic direction of Resources Credit Union. All Board members are independent, non-executive directors and are elected by members (our shareholders) on rotation every three years. Alternate Directors are approved by the Board and appointed by individual Directors.

The Directors must satisfy the Fit and Proper criteria set down by APRA, and they must abide by our Code of Conduct which outlines their legal and ethical obligations. The Directors are committed to ongoing training to maintain knowledge of emerging issues and to satisfy all governance requirements. The Board conducts an annual review of its performance, along with reviews of individual directors.

Meet our Directors

Chairman
Warren Phillip Ross

Credit Union Director since 1982.

Qualifications: Statement of Attainment in Property (Real Estate Agent’s Licence); Certificate in Strata Management; Personnel Administration Certificate; JP (Appointed 25/05/1978 and valid to 16/05/2011); FAM Institute.

Occupation: Licensed Real Estate Agent / Property Manager.

Experience: Warren was formerly Coordinator, Administrative Services, Department of Fair Trading. He has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 1982 and was elected Chairman in 2008, after having served as Deputy Chairman 2006 to 2008. Warren was previously a Director and Secretary of Labind Credit Union Ltd 1975 to 1982.

Deputy Chairman
Peter William Wood

Credit Union Director since 2003.

Qualifications: MBA; B Bus; Grad Cert Mgt.

Occupation: Deputy CEO, Central Sydney GP Network Ltd.

Experience: Peter previously held Senior Executive Service positions with the NSW Police and NSW Department of Housing. He has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 2003 and was elected Deputy Chairman in 2008. Peter was appointed an Alternate Director 1995 to 1998 and 2002 to 2003.

Bruce Malcolm Hamilton

Credit Union Director since 2007.

Qualifications: BBus; CPA.

Occupation: Financial Systems Accountant, Department of Commerce.

Experience: Bruce has 21 years experience in public sector accounting, budgeting and finance. He has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 2007, after having been appointed an Alternate Director in 2006.

Judy Isepy

Credit Union Director since 2004.

Qualifications: Certificate (Advanced) Public Relations

Occupation: Retired. Formerly Project Officer, Department of Family and Community Services.

Experience: For 12 years Judy managed government funding grants to community organisations for aged care and disability services. Judy has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 2004 and was formerly a Director of CDH Staff Credit Union Ltd from 1987 to 2004.

Colin Raymond Packham

Credit Union Director since 2008.

Qualifications: Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

Occupation: Reinsurance Consultant (Part time).

Experience: Colin has 36 years experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries and has worked with major insurers in the UK, Greece and Australia. He has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 2008, after having been appointed an Alternate Director in 2006.

Kenneth Paul Roberts

Credit Union Director since 1999.

Qualifications: B Eng (Civil); B App Sc (Industrial Mathematics and Computing)

Occupation: Project Manager, NSW Office of Water.

Experience: Ken has over 35 years experience in water resource management, specializing in flow measurement. He has worked in the Northern Territory, rural NSW and is now based in Sydney. Ken has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 1999, after having been appointed an Alternate Director in 1998.

Peter James Rowe

Credit Union Director since 2006.

Qualifications: Dip in Pharmacy; FAM Institute; previously FAICD.

Occupation: Retired. Formerly Assistant General Manager, Health Services Australia Ltd (Sydney office).

Experience: Previously a pharmacist. Peter has been a Resources Credit Union Director since 2006, after having been appointed an Alternate Director in 2004. He was formerly a Director of CDH Staff Credit Union Ltd from 1988 to 2004. Peter also has other experience as Company Director, Company Secretary and Board Chair.

Alternate Director
Rebecca May Richardson

Credit Union Alternate Director since 2009.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Town Planning; Diploma of Law; Grad Dip Tourism Management; Associate Member Law Society of NSW; Member Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Occupation: Principal, Urbanista, an urban design and planning consultancy.

Experience: Rebecca has professional expertise in urban planning and law, together with experience in financial analysis. She was appointed an Alternate Director in 2009.

Alternate Director
Kevin Neil Sandall

Credit Union Alternate Director since 2009.

Qualifications: M Land Econ; Grad Dip Urban Estate Mgt; BA; MAHI, JP.

Occupation: Retired. Formerly Project Director, NSW Department of Housing.

Experience: Neil held various senior management positions in the NSW Department of Housing; and has extensive experience as a non-executive Director on other community boards. He was appointed an Alternate Director in 2009.
