Bank Drafts

When you have to send money overseas, a foreign draft is usually the best way to send low value payments. A foreign draft is like a cheque, except that it can be issued in a range of different currencies. The recipient of the draft can bank straight into their own account.

Telegraphic Transfers - Now available in over 100 Currencies!*

A telegraphic transfer (TT) is a secure, convenient and electronic means of depositing funds directly into an account overseas. The beneficiary generally receives payment within 48 hours after the payment has been initiated. American Express can send payments to most countries in the world in over 100 different currencies.

Travellers Cheques

American Express travellers' cheques are a safe, easy way to protect your travel money and they are universally accepted. If you lose cash, or have it storlen, it's gone forever whereas your American Express travellers' cheques can be replaced virtually anywhere in the world, usually within 24 hours. Amercan Express travellers' cheques come in 7 different currencies (AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, JPY, CHY) with over 60,000 fee free exchange partners internationally.

Foreign Cash

Regardless of where you're travelling in the world, you'll always need local currency for expenses such as cab fares, tips, a newspaper, or a quick meal when you arrive. A range of over 65 different currencies are available, and we can advise you of the best one for your destination.

Encashment

Members may cash their excess travellers Cheques, foreign currency cheques, drafts and foreign cash using our encashment service at any of our branches.

Cash Passport

What is Cash Passport?

Cash Passport is the new, easier way to take your spending money overseas. Cash Passport is a pre-paid PIN-protected card that enables you to obtain local currency from over 690,000 VISA and PLUS ATM's around the world.

With Cash Passport, you get the convenience of 24 hour access to your money, with no daily withdrawal limits. You can purchase the card in Australian Dollars in any amount from $250 to $250,000. You don't have to be over 18 or have a credit rating, and Cash Passport can be purchased as a gift.

Cash PassPosrt also provides security. No value is kept on the card (all funds are retained on VISA's host system), meaning that if the card is lost or stolen, no one can access your funds withour the PIN. To keep you entirely on the safe side, you will receive a second Cash Passport card free of charge, so even if one is stolen you can still access your funds. Lost\stolen card replacement is available 24 hours a day.
